Buildxact template around your trade.
Every trade quotes differently. Concreters work in cubic metres, electricians in points and runs, plasterers in square metres, carpenters in lineal metres. Instead of forcing you into a generic template, we build one calibrated to how you actually price — inside your own Buildxact account.

All the details, explained
Which trades do you build templates for?
Any residential trade that quotes in Buildxact. So far we've built templates for concreters, and we're actively building for electrical, plastering, carpentry, plumbing, painting, tiling, and landscaping. If your trade isn't listed, book a call — the process is the same regardless of trade, and we'll confirm scope on the call.
What if I don't have a Buildxact account yet?
You'll need an active Buildxact subscription for us to build inside your licence — that's how the template gets delivered. If you're not signed up yet, book a call and we can talk through whether Buildxact is the right platform for your trade before you commit.
How much does a Buildxact trade template cost?
Pricing is confirmed on consultation because every trade has different complexity. A straightforward single-service trade template takes less work than a multi-service trade covering supply, install, and finish. Once we understand your scope on the call, we'll quote you directly — no surprises after signing.
How long does it take to build?
Most trade templates take 2–4 weeks from confirmed scope to delivery, depending on how many services and line items you need configured. We'll give you a firm timeline on the call before work starts.
What's actually included in the template?
Line items configured to your trade's units (M², M³, LM, points, hours, etc.), pre-loaded material and rate categories, supplier structure, calculators for the quantities your trade needs, and rate structures calibrated to your region. Full scope is agreed in writing before we start.
Will I own the template after it's built?
Yes. It's delivered directly into your Buildxact account. You own it, edit it, and use it on every job you quote — no separate tool, no ongoing licence with us, no lock-in.
What happens after the template is delivered?
You use it. Ongoing tweaks, added line items, or rate updates are available on request and priced separately, scoped case by case. Most builders don't need much after delivery — the template is built to be used as-is.
Can I adjust it myself later?
Yes. Because it lives inside your own Buildxact licence, you can edit line items, rates, and structure the same way you edit anything else in Buildxact. If you need help with a bigger change later, we can quote that separately.
What if my workflow changes down the track?
Trade workflows evolve — new services, different materials, updated pricing. When that happens, we can adjust the template. Adjustments are scoped on request and priced separately, so you only pay for what you actually need updated.
How is this different from just setting up Buildxact myself?
Setting up Buildxact yourself works if you have the time and the pricing knowledge to structure it properly from scratch. Most builders and tradies don't — they either half-configure it and stop using it, or they force jobs through generic categories and lose accuracy on quotes. We do the setup properly the first time using 10+ years of Campbells estimating experience, so you can start quoting straight away.
