What a bespoke Buildxact build looks like, and how it works.
A complete Australian residential estimating framework built inside your own Wunderbuild licence. That means pre-configured takeoff groups, 30+ costing categories with markup pre-set, a full specifications library with pre-written disclaimers and exclusions, cost codes, live Bunnings pricing on every relevant line item, and a client-ready quote PDF that pulls straight from your takeoff. Everything a builder needs to price a full residential build, ready on day one.
Standard templates are refined off-the-shelf frameworks for the general residential builder. A Custom Template is for businesses whose workflow is different enough — specialist trade, specific project types, unique supplier integrations, or scale — that an off-the-shelf template doesn't fit.
It's built for Australian residential builders — new builds, renovations, extensions, from architectural through to volume. Calibrated for Queensland pricing out of the box, adaptable for NSW and Victoria on request. Step one is a free 30-minute demo with Jacob to see how a custom build gets scoped. Step two, if it's a fit, is a paid 2-hour Systems Consultation to map your current workflow and scope the build. Step three is the build itself, delivered inside your Buildxact account with onboarding and training.
Two hours with Jacob to walk through your estimating workflow end-to-end — cost categories, takeoff logic, pricing structure, the lot. You leave with a scoped build plan, a fixed price for the build, and clarity on whether it's the right next step. The consultation fee is credited toward the build if you go ahead.

Custom builds start from $5,000, with final pricing confirmed at the Systems Consultation once scope is agreed. We don't quote a flat number because what we build depends on your business.
Optional. Ongoing updates and support are available as an add-on if you want us to keep refining the system. If you prefer to maintain it yourself after handover, that's fine.
Because we build estimating systems full-time across both Wunderbuild and Buildxact, and the structural thinking carries across. We know what works, what breaks, and what Buildxact can and can't do out of the box — so you don't pay for us to learn on your project.
The structural work carries across. If you later move from Buildxact to Wunderbuild (or vice versa), we can port the custom template to the new platform at a reduced rate — you don't lose the investment.
