Detailed Estimating Service FAQs

Everything builders ask about our Wunderbuild templates and services before subscribing.

Contract-ready quotes, done for you.

Around 2 weeks from receiving finalised plans to delivery. Faster turnarounds available for an additional fee if you need something urgent.

A 38-room residential template with 550+ smart takeoff items for rapid feasibility estimates. Answer simple prompts ("Is this bathroom upstairs? 1 for yes") and measure area and perimeter — the template calculates framing, linings, tiling, electrical and plumbing automatically. Unused rooms stay hidden, specifications are built into the costings, and PC & PS allowances break down per room. Produces a client budget estimate in 15-45 minutes instead of the 8-16 hours a detailed quote takes.

Residential new builds, renovations, extensions, and architectural work across Australia. If you're pricing a fixed-price contract on a residential project — single dwelling, duplex, extension, or custom build — the templates are built for it.

Detailed is right if you're pricing jobs you've already committed to winning — contracts that need accurate line-item pricing. Detailed + Feasibility is right if you want to qualify leads early with a rapid budget estimate before spending 8-16 hours on a detailed quote. Most builders quoting 3+ enquiries a month find the bundle pays for itself quickly.

Because detailed quotes take hours and most enquiries don't convert. If you're pricing 10 enquiries a month at 12 hours each, that's 120 hours of unpaid work. Feasibility quoting means you only do the detailed work for leads who are serious — qualify them in 30 minutes, then commit the deep hours to the ones ready to go.

Pricing is per project, with different rates for members (template subscribers) and non-members. Request a quote with your plans attached and we'll come back with a fixed price before any work starts.

Because members already have our template loaded into their Wunderbuild account, so a lot of the structural work is done. Non-members pay the full build cost; members pay a lower per-project rate.

Yes — see our Buildxact Estimating Service page. We build the estimate in Wunderbuild (where our team is fastest and most accurate), then deliver it as an importable Excel file that drops straight into your Buildxact account.

Yes, and many builders do. The template is for day-to-day work you do yourself; the service is for overflow, complex jobs, or when you're too busy on site to estimate.
